One Book Per Child Project 4/1/2010

Margrete Johannesen was a volunteer from Norway at Project Hope from January to July 2009. She taught English at the UNRWA girls school in Al-Ayn Refugee Camp. After this experience she was inspired to launch a project called 'One Book Per Child in Al-Ayn Refugee Camp'. She collected money from family and friends in Norway in order to buy children’s books in Nablus and distribute them to students, ages 8-10, from Al-Ayn Refugee Camp. This is the first step of the project which will continue in summer 2010. The goal is to give one book to each of the children from Al-Ayn attending UNRWA girls and boys schools.
The process of choosing books and distributing them is done in cooperation with Project Hope, Nablus.
